Here are our sample plans for our community building solutions:

St Luke’s community hall, café & church hub

This site was very restricted and surrounded by residential properties.

The first challenge was to design a building to nestle into the environment and sit comfortably within it’s surroundings while providing the maximum internal workable space.  The next test was to design a building that was a light an airy, yet mitigated against breakout noise to avoid disturbance to the neighbouring properties when the hall is in full use.  Finally, the church had a very limited budget and we had to be creative to create a quality environment that was durable and sympathetic with its setting.

St John’s Church hall, café & nursery

This was a very interesting project where we had to draw up various alternative designs for the church diocese to review.  After careful consideration the church settled for a dual pitched design with a feature  gable end windows and bi-folding doors.

We offered the complete turnkey service from initial concept drawings and costings to obtaining all the necessary approvals from the Local Authority. On site we demolished the existing hall, built the community building fitted out with toilets, floor coverings, induction loops and a commercial kitchen so the church can run their cafe.  One end of the building was a self-contained nursery with its own kitchen, toilets, art sinks and play area.  Finally we completed all the landscaping works around the new development.
